Deborah Roberts visits Cork

August 10th, 2010

We’re getting very excited about  ‘Sacred Hearts, Secret Music‘  our closing event. Deborah Roberts, of Musica Secreta and Brighton Early Music, arrived in Cork yesterday.

First item on her busy schedule was a visit to St. Colman’s Cathedral. Cobh looked stunning bathed in sunlight and Deborah fell in love with the magnificent cathedral. The acoustics are superb and together with Mick Daly, our sound and lighting technician, they’re going to make it a truly magical space: recreating the atmosphere of a sixteenth-century convent.

Before rehearsals with the ECEMF Singers, Deborah met with Mary Leland. So look out for that interview in the Irish Times.
