Vater Ensemble: 'Paris 1738'

St. John the Baptist Church, Midleton
Saturday 6th October, 1pm

The Vater Ensemble present a programme of French and German chamber music.  This concert features a beautiful French harpsichord made by Parisian maker Antoine Vater in 1738.

In that same year, 1738, Vater played host to Georg Philipp Telemann, and this programme adopts Vater’s home as its setting.  The Vater Ensemble will explore the cultural bustle of Paris in the mid-18th century, featuring music by F.Couperin, Telemann and Handel.

East Cork Early Music is committed to providing a platform for aspiring local performers and this year we are delighted to welcome Tom Ó Drisceoil, an up-and-coming Irish harpsichordist, who has recently completed an MA degree in harpsichord performance at CIT Cork School of Music.

Tickets available from: Pro Musica 20 Oliver Plunkett St, Cork
